Baby Cloud

An app designed for Swiss healthcare company, Ferring. Helping users navigate the road to childbirth from those struggling most to get there. The app is designed to be a central hub for all the patient’s concerns and needs.

Role: Visual, UX and interaction design | Agency: Methodical

Challenge

The road to childbirth can be long and eventful with many ups and downs. Ferring is a pharmaceutical company specialising in IVF and aided conception. They wished to produce an app that supports the wants and needs of prospective parents to create a community of like minds on a similar path.

Approach

We defined a narrative which would engage the users on their end to end journey.

A pregnancy diary was created that monitored physiological changes and kept track of any medicines and health programs that would be required for the patient.

The app acted as a ‘consultant in your pocket’ which would surface tailored advice in the form of articles, videos and medical professionals. The app would help a user answer any concerns or questions they may have.

Theses steps show how an interface is created from concept to final design.

Result

As each case is individual and specific to the end user, the apps unique features allowed a holistic approach to the guidance for a healthy pregnancy and childbirth. The app was approved by the steering committee in late 2021. It is currently being built in-house at Ferring and due to be released publicly in early 2022.
